Remission Orders

A Remission Order is effectively a faint-hope clause for individuals who owe tax as a result of the complicated web of legislation. There are times when, because our taxes are so complicated, an individual is faced with paying tax twice or otherwise in circumstances where the tax payable was not the intent of the particular legislation.

In these circumstances, the federal cabinet can, in fact, abate the tax but only when a proper application is made. Drache Aptowitzer LLP lawyers are amongst the few in the country that have experience in successfully negotiating Remission Orders and would be happy to assess your case to determine whether or not a Remission Order is appropriate.
